Each year, we host multiple two-day skate camps that travel throughout the Phoenix area and then some.
We had a big and delightful crew this year, skated tons of spots, learned new tricks, goofed around and even met Jaws Homoki!
Here is our super fun crew: (from left to right)
Wyatt Nasi, Michael Gray, Kirby Jackson, Mikey Rasor, Banner Rasor, Brighton Zeuner,
Neal Mims, Cole Foudy,Elijah Mihaylo, Joe Gray, Malachi Gray and Jack Zeuner
We could hardly stand still long enough to take that group photo and skated the wall as soon as the photo was taken.
Here is Kirby learning wallrides!
We skated nonstop, rain or shine! Here is Mikey Rasor throwing a huge transfer despite any puddles in his path
Jaws came to skate with us!
Malachi Gray was inspired by Jaws and decided to ollie off of a ledge nearly twice his height over over Neal!
We also took some time to relax and mediskate. Here are Cole and Mikey showing us how to center ourselves.
Another amazing NMSA Fall Break with a solid crew! We traveled to 16 different skateparks throughout the week. We were able to skate the indoor Volcom park. Xander, Jake, AJ, Jake, Cody, Jake, (that’s right..three Jake’s) and special guest Masato had a blast and we look forward to having them again! We hope you enjoy just some of their accomplishments throughout the week in the photos below.
Here is the NMSA crew at Washington Street with simultaneous drop-ins.
Jake Golden is always a treat, trick or treat that is… He was celebrating Halloween as the George Washington Vampire skateboarder. Front-side boneless helmet grab.
Jake Moniak and AJ Cashman are 2 peas in a pod. They do everything together. They even boardslide rails at the same time. These 2 are a treat to have around.
Jake Wheeler Learned 50/50′s as well as really good Ollies throughout the week. Good job Jake!
Jake Brown is always down for the kids! We were able to meet up with him for a session at the DC/Monster ramp. It’s an honor to be allowed to skate this private state-of-the-art ramp.
Xander Newell as usual mixing it up with a stylish Front-Side Boneless.
At the end of each week is always fun! You never know what they might get with our specialized raffle and when they are rewarded with a personalized goodie bag along with certificates of achievment of tricks learned throughout the week. Looking forward to our Winter break December 30th-January 3rd. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
NMSA is very proud to announce our Skater Of The Month,
(9 year old) Xander Newell!!
Xander has everything it takes and then some to be chosen for this special award. His attitude, skills, determination, perseverance, and pure love of skateboarding has earned him this certificate. Below you will witness just some of the things he has accomplished in the past month alone. Xander is a prime example of what the NMSA is all about. Keep ripping Xander!
Here he is proudly holding his award.
Xander learned proper McTwist earlier this month also. Not bad for a 9 year old… WOW!
He can skate everything in his path. Boardslide on the bump to rail.
Smiles for days. This is how he is %99.9 of the time. This is why we love him.
Here he kicks out an awesome Judo Air.
Xander is always pushing his limits on the board. Another reason to love him. Huge Backside Air over the channel at Memorial park. Congratulations on NMSA’s Skater Of The Month!
We had an awesome final week of Summer 2013! Milo, Jack, Daymein, Gunner, Ryland, and Nathan had great positive vibes and learned tricks all week long. We look forward to having this crew back real soon.
We made a special stop to check out the infamous Del Mar ditch.
Ryland Matton blast a huge Kick-Flip up the step-up at the Costa Mesa park.
Nathan Long learned his very first Boardslides this week.
Jack Tobin having fun while Daymien Hertenstein blast a Frontside Air in the bowl.
We had Kellen James come out to hang and skate with the NMSA crew this week. He was great! Thanks Kellen!
Jack Tobin learned how to Ollie down stairs this week! We are very proud of you Jack!
Milo Honsberger was killing it all week. He started the week out with this super stylish Heelflip down the 6 stair at Lincoln park in LA. Good job!
This week we doubled the NMSA party by adding another van of skaters.
Matt Weiss’ van was pretty excited to follow Neal’s van of fun shredders for a week of skateboarding adventures.
The DIY trend continued to Washington Street, where kids braved the challenging transitions
And Nick Wolcott 5050ed across rails
Our awesome instructor Matt Weiss helps Adia with an awkward drop-in at the LBC park.
The group filmed each other’s lines. Here is Cole Mendelsohn in the middle of a six-stair boardslide.
Everyone cheered each other on. There’s no doubt that the support from this awesome group helped Sterling pop over this huge gap.
Everyone learned new tricks! Here’s Gianno popping a nosegrab over the spine.
Noah Davis learned backside airs over hips
And Jackson Gallop popped ollies over pyramid hips!
And everyone had a blast making friends with pro skaters!
